How to prepare cassava leaves for anemia

In many African cultures, cassava leaves and milk is used to treat anemia…. Here is how they go about it as described to www.nimedhealth.com.ng:

Anyone who is short of blood and needs blood within 4 weeks to 8 weeks can also adopt this method.

Ingredients:

Cassava leaves
Milk

Preparations:

Get cassava leaves and grind it, put the milk on low heat and add the cassava leaves to the hot milk after grinding it. The heat will help to remove the cyanide in raw cassava leaves… Cyanide in raw cassava leaves can cause poisoning. Cassava leaves when taken raw is poisonous.

•Take some cassava leaves (2 wrists of leaves)
• Clean and crush the cassava leaves without adding water
• Mix the juice with condensed milk (peak milk or Three Crowns or Olympic tin milk)
• Drink the mixture
• Mix 1 time a day.

Dosage:

Allow the mixture to cool then drink at once.
Few weeks later, go for blood volume check and see the magic of cassava leaves..you will notice a rise in your hemoglobin concentration and packed cell volume of blood within 4 to 6 weeks after drinking this mixture. It works.

Note:

Dont use too many leaves and make sure you add milk and not water to avoid cassava poisoning, milk neutralizes cassava poisoning.

Please make sure you boil the crushed cassava leaf and milk mixture before drinking it. Don’t drink raw cassava leaves juice because it is poisonous and contains cyanide. Cassava leaves and milk mixture should not be consumed by pregnant women. Not safe please.

CAVEAT: milk and cassava leaf combo is good for treating low blood level (anemia) but should never be a substitute in cases of urgent blood transfusion to save a life. Be warned….
