VIDEO: ‘Coronavirus Can’t Get To Abia State Because It Is The Only State Mentioned In The Bible’ – Gov Ikezie Ikpeazu

In spite of the increasing spread of coronavirus in Nigeria with 27 officially confirmed cases, Governor Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia state strongly believes the disease won’t get to his state based on spiritual grounds.

‘Coronavirus can’t get to Abia State because it is the only State mentioned in the Bible’ – Gov. Ikpeazu

In a video that surfaced on Twitter on Sunday, the governor said, God had promised the people of the state that no disease would touch them, adding that Abia is the only state mentioned in the Holy Bible – a Christian book of instructions.

He said, “Abia is the only state that is mentioned in the Bible. We have been promised by God that none of these diseases will get to us. We saw Ebola and Monkey pox, even this one (coronavirus) it won’t get to us”.

Meanwhile, since the outbreak of coronavirus in Nigeria, the Federal Ministry of Health has confirmed cases of the disease in five states- Lagos, Ekiti, Oyo, Ogun, including the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.

As at 6:00 pm on the 22nd of March, there are 27 confirmed cases of the disease in Nigeria with no recorded death so far.

It is noteworthy that, 945 citizens of Biblical Israel have tested positive to the coronovirus and 20 are in critical condition with one confirmed death.

And let me add that Abia, at some point, recorded at least ten cases of Lassa fever in 2020.

It is however true that Abia was mentioned in the Bible (Luke 1 Verse 5).
