This is the kind of thing we should protest about. This man was just trying to impact positively. A family has lost a husband, father and friend. This is just so disheartening.

The country failed us again. We’ve lost one of the good ones to the cold embrace of death. A teacher among teachers, a great man. I have been in shock since I heard. He was my examiner in Paediatrics. I still saw him 2 days ago in the Hospital. Very very sad. We’ve lost a bright one, he was one of the good ones we had around. Very very sad.

Fiola Opeyemi

Aaaaahhhhhh Uncle, still gave me a reference letter to CMD of UCH last month Death yyyyyy.

God’s Sheep

Ohhh what a loss! He helped when my dad was ill…I don’t just feel like typing. May his soul rest in peace!

Sanmi Elele

I feel so sad and really terrible to hear about the death of my teacher, Professor Elusiyan. He was murdered at the prime of his career. How many paediatric endocrinologists do we have in this country to start with? They killed one of the very few….

Temitayo MD

The weight of sadness in my heart is so huge. The man encouraged me and spoke to me as a son before and after house job.

Professor Elusiyan, the CMAC of OAUTHC was shot today in Edo State and he is dead.. And just recently I saw videos of some youths claiming they will unleash terror in that state, and the state government didn’t do anything about it. RIP to a great man. A well spoken man. Smh.

Akinrinide Oluwafemi

Very humble a man, he is dedicated to God and his work. He uses his own money to buy drugs, pay bills for patient so as to save life. He has some students he is paying their school fees, what will happen to these ones now.

Dolapo Oluwatise

I remember him making jokes to lighten up the mood at an award ceremony I happened to be…. Saying they were all too serious. We lost a great one.

Duchess – Ebunoluwa

May his soul rest in peace… He is well spoken of! This is a shock to the whole oauthc community…

As at the time of filing this report, no official response from the police and Edo state government. The assailants are still at large.

This sad news was first shared on Twitter by doctors who knew him personally.

OAUTHC community and even the world at large will miss you, the eternal God will fill the vacuum you left behind. Adieu beloved rest on, on the blossom of your saviour till we meet to part no more

  3. It’s so sad that we are continuously losing the good ones in this nation, and nothing is being done preserve them, but the wicked, the corrupt and murderers are celebrated, honored and preserved. Let the Almighty God deliver this nation called Nigeria. Let God alone, the father of the fatherless strengthen and uphold his family he so painfully left behind in Jesus name.

  4. He was such an easy going person back then at OAUTHC, hardly will you Know his high status until you get close to him. May his killers never find peace . RIP Prof Elusiyan.
