Pregnacare 30 tablets for 30 days supply. One-a-day vitamins and minerals for all of pregnacy.

Pregnacare has been described with different names by different experts and pregnant women. From my interactions with pregnant women during their routine antenatal visits, the described it as:

  • prenatal drug
  • Pregnancy care drug
  • Pregnancy supplements
  • A routine antenatal drug
  • A vitabiotics
  • Blood medicine for pregnant women
  • Pregnancy vitamins
  • Appetizer for both pregnant and non pregnant women
  • Prenatal formula

Pregnacare is prenatal drug or supplement used by both pregnant, non-pregnant and women trying to conceive in order to provide the necessary vitamins and minerals needed to attain or sustain a pregnancy. It is not very much different from the routine antenatal drugs like folic acid, vitamin C, Vitamin B12, iron supplement( fesolate) you get during ANC visits. The advantage is that it is one tablet that contains all nutrients instead of swallowing many drugs at once. It also contains more nutrients. Produced by a UK based company called vitabiotics, it is commonly used by pregnant women in the United Kingdom and Nigeria.

Types

There are different types of pregnancy care products and the truth is: there is no much difference between them-they are similar. The difference is just in the names. The types are:

  • Pregnacare original
  • Pregnacare max
  • Pregnacare plus
  • Pregnacare conception- used mainly by women trying to conceive to store up iron stores and folic acid before conception

The various types of pregnacare are a careful balance of 19 vitamins, minerals, folic acid (400microgram), D3 (10microgram), B12, moderate iron and zinc.

Pregnacare Provides Nutritional care for mother and baby…

Worldwide studies have shown that extra specific nutrients such as folic acid and vitamin D may be necessary before and during pregnancy. Pregnare has been carefully developed to help safeguard dietary requirements, from start of trying to conceive and during all of pregnacy. …

Reasons why it comes in highly recommended

1. It contains much more than folic acid: Formulated by vitabiotics nutritional experts with 19 important vitamins and minerals. With 400microgram folic acid and 10microgram vitamin D3, the exact daily dose recommended by NAFDAC and UK Department of Health.

2. Trusted support for mum’s health for over 25 years: Pregnacare contains a comprehensive formula to help safeguard all round health and vitality, as well as important nutrients for pregnancy. Folic acid contributes to normal maternal tissue growth during pregnancy, as well as normal cell division. The unique formula also imcludes zinc which contribute to normal reproductive health

3. All round healthy pregnancy: Good nutritional intake is vital throughout pregnancy, not just for the first 12weeks. Iron, vitamins B6 and B12 are important to contribute to normal red blood cell formation. These important nutrients can also help normal function of the immune system, an important consideration during pregnancy.
