Clinical Pharmacology

Fejeron blood tonic is rich in the iron salt, Ferric Ammonium Citrate and contains Vitamin B12. Ferric Ammonium Citrate is best – tolerated iron supplement.

It provides an optimum tolerance of the iron preparation, which is of utmost importance in maintaining long term patient compliance to any hematinic therapy.

Fejeron: Composition, Uses, Side Effects
Fejeron

It rapidly supplements el thus leading to faster correction of anaemia and replenishment of tissue iron stores.
Folic Acid has antagonistic property.

It aids cell division and the normal production of red blood cells including maturation of megalobast into normoblast.

Vitamin B12 is required for proper red blood cells formation, neurological function, and DNA synthesis.

It functions as a cofactor for methionine synthase and L-methylmalonyl – CoA matase.

Methionine synthase can catalyze the conversion of homocysteine to methionine. Methionine is required for the formation of S-adenosylmethionine, a universal methyl donor for almost 100 different substrates, including DNA, RNA, hormones, proteins, and lipids.

L-methylmalonyl – CoA mutase converts L-methylmalonyl – CoA to succinyl – CoA in the degradation of propionate, an essential biochemical reaction in fat and protein metabolism. Succinyl – CoA is also required for hemoglobin synthesis of elemental Iron so that iron deficiency is quickly controlled.
