Difference between black pepper and Cameroon pepper

I have checked all books….and other resource materials, all that I have seen is that there is no difference between #black and #Cameroon pepper…. So many authors believe both black pepper and Cameroon pepper mean the same thing ….they are the same spicy Pepper but the name varies depending on the country. Africans call Piper nigrum Cameroon pepper while Europeans call Piper nigrum black pepper.
Cameroon Pepper is widely used in Nigeria to cook due to its exceptional heat and unique flavour. Highly aromatic and Hot. Cameroon Pepper adds distinctive taste to dishes.
Cameroon Pepper has an active component that’s responsible for its hotness and most of its medicinal properties. It is commonly used for Culinary purposes and has some nutritional content, minerals like Manganese, Potassium, Iron, Vitamin A, C & K, Richness in Fiber.
Cameroon Pepper has distinctive medical properties which are anti-bacterial, antioxidant & anti-inflammatory. It’s believed to help in treating many ailments simply my using it to cook regularly. Some of these benefits are;
– Prevention of Ingestion; a common problem that causes pain or discomfort in your upper abdomen (dyspepsia) or behind your breast bone (heart burn).
– Boosting the healthy condition of the eye.
– Improved cardiovascular health.
– Prevention of bloating caused by intestinal gas.

N/B: This pepper should not be taken in high concentration and if you see signs of allergic reactions, discontinue its use and consult a doctor.
Summary: #Cameroon pepper and #black pepper are more or less the same thing…as nobody has been able to point out any of their salient different….the botanical name of both Peppers is Piper Nigrum.
