I talk to client everyday and we still face the problem of choosing business names. So I am here again to help. There are so many issues to consider when choosing a business name, some CAC may help curb, others only you can save your self. So this is not an opposite of the earlier posts Iโve made about your business names getting rejected, itโs just another perspective to it. These ones CAC wonโt tell you.
๐. ๐๐๐ ๐ฎ๐ ๐๐๐ฆ๐๐ฌ: These are names that are too vague to suggest the services that you render. People canโt tell the services that you render because the name is vague and that isnโt good for a business. e.g ๐๐ข๐ฌ๐ข ๐๐ฐ๐ฎ๐ฐ๐ต ๐๐ฆ๐ฏ๐ต๐ถ๐ณ๐ฆ๐ด, now this may mean a restaurant, a public restroom or event transportation fit. If you have to use such then you may add a description in bracket for further clarification.
๐. ๐๐๐ฆ๐๐ฌ ๐ญ๐จ๐จ ๐๐จ๐ง๐ ๐จ๐ซ ๐๐ข๐๐๐ข๐๐ฎ๐ฅ๐ญ: ๐๐ฉ๐ฆ๐ฏ these ones are the names that your customers canโt even pronounce, talk more of remembering it to refer to someone. Please make life easy for us, use names that are easy to pronounce and remember. If you must then get a fine abbreviation that can be a substitute. e.g ๐ ๐๐๐๐ซ๐๐๐ข๐จ๐ง ๐๐ง๐ญ๐๐ซ๐ง๐๐๐ข๐จ๐ง๐๐ฅ ๐๐ ๐๐๐จ๐ ๐๐๐๐ฌ (is an international body of female lawyers that stand against abuse, domestic violence against women and children), I canโt pronounce the name myself though Iโm a lawyer. The abbreviation is ๐ ๐๐๐. Now if you see ๐ ๐๐๐ anywhere, you will remember me right?. Make your business name easy to be called and remembered.
3. ๐๐๐ฆ๐๐ฌ ๐ญ๐ก๐๐ญ ๐๐ซ๐ ๐๐จ๐ง๐ญ๐ซ๐จ๐ฏ๐๐ซ๐ฌ๐ข๐๐ฅ: These are names that suggests too much about your services and can raise antagonistic reactions or controversies. Names that can offend a particular set of people, tribe, race, religion etc.
