HOW MANY YEARS COURSE IS PHYSIOTHERAPY IN NIGERIA?
The duration for studying Physiotherapy falls within the average for most Health science courses such as Nursing, Medicine, Radiography, and Pharmacy, all of which are lengthy or slightly lengthy. In current times however, it is somewhat difficult to accurately determine how long one will study a course for due to the recurring industrial actions in tertiary institutions.
Physiotherapy is the treatment of disease, injury, or deformity by physical methods such as massage, heat treatment, and exercise rather than by drugs or surgery. A physiotherapist helps people affected by injury, illness or disability through movement and exercise, manual therapy, education and advice.

However in Bayero University, Kano Physiotherapy lasts for six (6) years. New graduates of Physiotherapy must undergo a 1-year internship in an accredited hospital.
Successful completion of the clinical internship provides eligibility to apply for a full practicing license.
