It comes in two pills that are taken within 72 hours after sex. However, because of its easy use, accessibility, and the belief that it prevents pregnancy, a lot of females take this drug regularly in so as not to get pregnant.

Let’s be clear about some things. Postinor-2 as an emergency contraceptive is not meant to be taken regularly. Or who do you know goes to the emergency room every two weeks because he/she is doing what he/she should not be doing?

The medication is meant to serve as an emergency for those very rare times you forget to use a cond*m, or you are not certain about the effectiveness of some other form of contraceptive you are using.

No matter how long you use the drug, it can never prevent you from picking up HIV or any other form of sexually transmitted disease like gonorrhea and syphilis.

This is not to scare you. It is simply important to know that Postinor-2 is not the typical regular contraceptive. It should only be used when absolutely necessary. It should not be used too frequently, not more than once in a month. You should also never take beyond the required two tablets at each point. Don’t.

Summary, ladies who pee after unprotected sex should know that it will not stop them from getting pregnant. Peeing after sex does not flush out sperm. Peeing after sex however, prevent UTI.
