Fluconazole is a broad spectrum antifungal drug used to treat all forms of fungal infections like ringworm, oral candidiasis, vaginal candidiasis and fungemia (fungal sepsis). Fluconazole has no effect on diseases caused by parasites.

There are special drugs designed for the treatment of parasitic infestations and fluconazole is not one of them.

Fluconazole does not kill parasites and cannot be used to treat or cure parasitic infestations.
