FLASH: nigerian Govt confirms 14 fresh cases of coronavirus, total cases now 111.

The National Centre for Disease Control and Prevention yesterday night announced 14 confirmed new cases of coronavirus taking Nigeria’s total tally of infected cases to 111 with one recorded death.

The NCDC made this known in a series of tweets from their verified Twitter handle on Sunday night:

“Fourteen new cases of COVID-19 have been reported in Nigeria; 9 in Lagos and 5 in FCT.

As at 09:30 pm 29th March there are 111 confirmed cases of COVID -19 reported in Nigeria with 1 death.

As at 09:30 pm 29th March, there are 111 confirmed cases 1 death.

In a nationwide broadcast yesterday, the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari, has ordered a total lock down of Lagos, Ogun, and FCT for a period of 14 days so as to curb further spread.

The fight against coronavirus is a joint task and we all need to play our part.
