FMC Owo have so far recorded 79 cases of confirmed Lassa fever in 2020 – ARD
“Warm greetings to all ARD Leaders and members across the Nation.
This is to bring to your notice the recent development in our environment.
There’s a confirmed Lassa Fever outbreak in Ondo State and facts have it that 79 cases were confirmed positive at FMC OWO since the beginning of the year 2020.
Similar to what we had last year, this same period, http://saharareporters.com/2019/02/03/fmc-out-bed-space-fresh-lassa-fever-outbreak-hits-ondo About 2 out of every 5 patients that presents with fever is a confirmed case of Lassa Fever.
It is also important to note that the Management of FMC OWO and the Infection Control Centre(ICC) is working assiduously to care for the infected Patients and put the outbreak under control.
