Is hot dog from dog meat?
MISCONCEPTION ABOUT HOT #DOG OR SAUSAGES.
#Hot dogs are a popular food item that consists of a cooked sausage, traditionally made from a mixture of beef, pork, or poultry.
They are typically served in a sliced bun and often topped with various condiments like ketchup, mustard, onions, relish, and more.
Despite the name “hot dog,” these sausages are NOT MADE FROM DOG MEAT.
The origin of the name is a bit unclear tho, but it’s believed to be a result of a humorous play on words. The term “dachshund sausages” was a popular term for similar sausages in the 1800s, given their resemblance to the Dachshund dog breed. The name eventually evolved into “#hot dog.”
So, be rest assured, when you enjoy a hot dog, you’re consuming a mixture of meats, NOT DOG MEAT.
The name might be a bit misleading, but there’s no CANINE meat involved in their production.
Note: if you buying sausages or #hot dog check the label to check if it made of chicken, beef or pork meat .
I don’t know how they can taste so good and be so grossly made and knowing they contain pig snouts and chicken feet….ugh!!!!
I hope this is helpful to someone out there 👌🏾
