Can Ruzu Bitters be taken with other drugs?
The answer is no….ruzu bitters should be taken alone and never be combined with other medications especially paracetamol, blood lowering medicines like metformin, Dionil etc, blood thinners like heparin, warfarin, enoxaparin, aspirin etc. Watch it also when you are on prescription drugs of sedatives like benzodiazepines (diazepam) and carbamazepines, phenytoin etc…don’t take ruzu with these drugs. Please do not take ruzu bitters with blood pressure drugs like amlodipine, lisinopril , moduretic, methyldopa (dopatab or adomet)… Some antibiotics will also interact with ruzu bitters so it is best you dont take ruzu bitters together with antibiotics especially rifampicin, isoniazid, penicillin, ciprofloxacin etc.
Even though ruzu herbal bitters and supplements may be from plant or herb sources, the active ingredients can still be potent chemicals. Because of this, herbal supplements can have drug interactions, even with each other or with food or alcohol. Unfortunately, these products are not labeled with safety warnings, and it is difficult for a consumer to know if an interaction may occur.
Herbal bitters interactions with prescription medications or other chemicals can:
*interfere with how the drug may be broken down in the body
*enhance side effects of prescription medications
*block the intended therapeutic effect of a drug.
Though not stated by the manufacturer, ruzu bitters should not be taken with other prescription drugs ….ruzu can adversely interact with these drugs making them ineffective or poisonous. The problem is, you don’t know which of the drugs ruzu bitters will negatively interact with that will harm you or affect your vital body organs….if you are on prescription medicines, it is better you stay away from ruzu bitters, alomo bitters and other herbal bitters.
If you are considering the use of any bitters like alomo bitters, ruzu bitters, yoyo bitters etc, always check with your doctor first. This is because herbal bitters interact alot with prescription drugs.
