Composition:
Each 5ml of babyrex contains:
Paracetamol BP…….125mg
Dill oil…….0.1ml
Chlorpheniramine Maleate…..1mg
Properties
Babyrex has analgesic, antipyretic, carminative and sedative properties. It produces analgesia through its action on the central nervous system. Babyrex contains oil obtained from distillation of dried ripe fruit of Aventhum graveolens which helps to relieve infants of flatulence. It exerts, its anti-histaminic action by blocking the action of histamine in various smooth muscles.
Uses and indications of babyrex
For soothing and fast relief of pains , restlessness, and feverish conditions in infants and children….Helps in restful sleep.
Dosage:
Infants: 2.5ml (Half teaspoonful)
1-6 years: 5ml (One teaspoonful)
6-12 years: 10ml (Two Teaspoonful)
To be taken two times daily.
Side Effects
Babyrex baby Mixture may cause drowsiness, dry mouth, and blurred vision. In hypersensitive patients, though rare, may cause skin rashes and other related allergic reactions….
Contraindications
Babyrex is contraindicated in patients with impaired kidney or liver function and and in patients with history of hypersensitivity reaction to any of the components of babyrex .
