Can Bitter leaf cure yeast infection? Can bitter leaf cure vagina candidiasis?
I have seen ladies who claim the effectively get rid of their vagina yeast infection by washing inside their bodies or douching with bitter leaf water. Some use Bitter leaf soaked in hot water for douching whenever they suspect they have candidiasis and they say it works for them.
Before I talk about the veracity of these claims, it will be nice to educate you briefly about yeast infection…
Are you having recurrent yeast infection??
This infection is one of the most common types of infections affecting women. Vaginal candida infection have a common set of symptoms, such as:
swelling around the vagina
burning during urination or sex
pain during sex
Whitish-gray and curdy vaginal discharge is another telltale symptom. Some people say this discharge looks like cottage cheese-curdled, thick and white discharge. Sometimes the discharge may also be watery.
Normally, the length of time your yeast infection is left untreated has a direct impact on how severe your symptoms may become.
Reoccurring yeast infection is usually due to:
- Resistance to the drugs used
- Improper treatment✔️
- Incorrect diagnosis Antibiotics (they decrease the amount of Lactobacillus [“good bacteria”] in the vagina)
- uncontrolled diabetes milletus
- weak immune system
- poor eating habits, including a lot of sugary foods
- hormonal imbalance near your menstrual cycle
- lack of sleep
Yeast infection and other genital infections can increase the risk of getting STDs such as HIV, gonorrhoea, syphilis, chlamydia.
The treatment of yeast infection involves the use of good antifungal medications like fluconazole, ketoconazole, diflucan, clotrimazole pessary, klovinal pessary etc…
Some persons believe that herbs like bitter leaf, apple cedar vinegar, scent leaf, guava leaves, cloves , lemon water, prekese etc can cure candidiasis. But this is not true.
Now to the main topic of this article….
Can bitter leaf cure yeast infection?
No. Yeast infection is caused by fungus and bitter leaf does not have antifungal properties so it cannot be used to treat candidiasis. Douching with squeezed bitter leaf water or inserting bitter leaf “inside your body” will not cure that stubborn yeast infection. Rather, this practice will make you develop vaginitis….the one will call “toilet infection”. Dont use bitter leaf for your candidiasis because it will not work. Drinking bitter leaf water or juice will also not cure your yeast infection.
