Not trained to diagnose no treat major dental issues.

SSCE Requirements for dental therapy:
The WAEC/NECO/O’level subject combination and requirements needed to study Dental Therapy;
You require; Five O’ level credit passes to include.
1. English language,
2. Mathematics,
3. Biology,
4. Chemistry
5. Physics
All schools take require you WAEC or NECO results to not be more than 2 sittings.
Direct Entry Requirements
These are the conditions you need to fulfill to gain Direct Entry admission to study Dental Therapy, if you don’t intend to use UTME.
You require; SICHSTMAKARFI: requires five ‘O’ credits in English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and Physics (WAEC OR NECO)
FEDSDTTEN: may require five SSCE credit passes in not more than two sittings.
Subject Combination in UTME / JAMB UTME Requirements
As usual in UTME, please note that English Language is Compulsory for all courses including this course. Therefore, the three (3) other JAMB UTME subject combination needed to study Dental include:
1. Mathematics,
2. Chemistry,
3. Physics,
4. Biology/Health Sciences or Food and Nutrition
Look at the UTME bronchure to be sure of the subject combination requirements of your chosen institution. Please do to avoid costly errors.

6. Some teaching hospitals like University of Uyo Teaching Hospital also offer dental therapy as a course.
