Coronavirus Update: 5 New cases confirmed in Lagos, Rivers and Abuja, total cases now 51.
The Nigerian Centre for Disease Control and Prevention (NCDC) has announced 5 fresh confirmed cases of coronavirus in Abuja, Lagos, and Rivers state taking Nigeria’s tally of cases to 51.
In a series of tweets the NCDC disclosed this on their verified handle:
“Five new cases of COVID19 have been confirmed in Nigeria: 2 in FCT, 2 in Lagos and 1 in Rivers 3 are returning travellers into Nigeria and 2 are close contacts of a confirmed case
As at 11:25 pm 25th March, there are 51 confirmed cases 2 discharged 1 death

Recall that Rivers is the second state with a confirmed case of coronavirus in South-southern Nigeria, the other state being Edo.
