Coronavirus: El-rufai shutdown Kaduna Markets, commences fumigation (pictures).
The governor of Kaduna State, Mallam Nasiru El-rufai has taken proactive steps to ensure coronavirus so not spread to the state.
He yesterday ordered the the closure of many markets in the state for immediate fumigation.
According to the governor:
“Enforcement of the partial closure of all markets in response to COVID19 began today at the Sheikh Abubakar Gumi (Central) market and compliance has been reasonable. We have also concluded plans to disinfect the market this evening.
We call for the support of all residents of Kaduna State as we expand our activities to cover all markets over the next 30days. Please remember to wash your hands often with soap & water for at least 20 seconds, use hand sanitizers and practice social distancing.
Please note that stores selling essentials like medicine and food supplies are still open for business.
This evening, Sheikh Abubakar Gumi (Central) Market is being fumigated and disinfected as a measure to combat the spread of #COVID-19
The Kaduna State government is leaving no stone unturned in shutting out COVID-19 from the state.”
