Coronavirus: Infected British Health Minister, Nadine Dorries said her mum, 84, has tested positive for COVID-19
Health minister Nadine Dorries, who tested positive for coronavirus earlier this week, says her 84-year-old mother now also has COVID-19.
The Mid Bedfordshire MP revealed the news about her mum in a tweet on Friday, saying: “She’s a pre war baby, doing ok and “made of strong stuff”.
She announced earlier this week that she had contracted the disease and that a member of her staff was ill.
Ms Dorries is self-isolating at home after becoming the first MP in the UK to be diagnosed with COVID-19 following the outbreak, which on Thursday was declared a pandemic by the World Health Organisation (WHO).
Nadine Dorries is the minister in charge of patient safety.
Recall that the First Lady of Canada, Sophie Trudeau tested positive for coronavirus earlier today and her husband, the Prime Minister of Canada, Justin Trudeau has announced he is self-isolating and will be working from home.
