3. He went to medical school at Cairo University, Egypt in 1967 graduating with honours.
4. Thereafter, he had specialist training in Neurosurgery in the United Kingdom including the famous Atkinson Hospital of St George’s Medical School, London.
5. He had Microneurosurgery Training at Henry Ford Hospital, Detroit, USA.
6. He joined the University of Nigeria as Lecturer 1 in 1974 and was became a full Professor in 1980. While in UNN, He held several positions including, Head of Anatomy, Associate Dean of Medicine, Dean of Medicine and Deputy Vice Chancellor and Head of Enugu Campus of UNN.
7. Here are his academic qualifications: M.B, B.Ch (Cairo), FRCS (Ed), FRCS (Eng), FWACS (W. Africa), FMCS (Nig), FICS
