What are the Requirements to study Public Health in Nigeria?

For O’Level (SSCE)- WAEC/NECO/NABTEB/GCE:
Prospective students/Candidates must have at least 5 credit passes in the following subjects: English Language, Mathematics, and 3 other health-related relevant subjects with majors being Physics, Chemistry, and Biology in not more than two sittings.
For those seeking admission into 200L through Direct entry:
It is required for National Diploma (ND) or Higher National Diploma (HND) candidates to have not less than an upper credit in a related course of study.
While for candidates with a National Certificate of Education (NCE) degree, it is required they have a merit pass level or Grade B in a related course of study.
Related courses include: Physical/Health Education, Home Economics, Environmental Health, Food Science and Technology, Science Lab Technology, Science Education, Nutrition, Community Health.
JAMB/UTME Requirements:
The average cut off mark to study Public Health in any school in Nigeria is 200. However, each university can decide their pass mark as they deem fit to accommodate the number of students needed. Schools like FUTO, and Madonna University peg their cut off mark from 230 and above. Therefore, to increase your chances of getting admitted, it’s best you do not limit yourself to scoring just 200 , but raise your bar to a score of 250 at least.
