Can I add dates to my baby pap?
I get this question a lot from my nursing mothers.
If you are also wondering same, then this is for you.
First let’s look at the benefits of dates for your baby.
**They are a rich source of Iron (the most important nutrients for babies 6 months and above.
**Helps bowel movement, loosens stool and fights constipation.
** High in minerals like calcium, potassium and magnesium as well as Vitamin A.
Making your date paste
*Wash dates thoroughly and soak till very soft (you can soak overnight )
Deseed the dates. Place in a blender and blend till a smooth paste is achieved.
Add to baby’s pap, cereals, purees etc.
So to answer your question, you can see that you can add dates to your baby’s pap or akamu without worry….how it is important for you to know that it is only safe to give dates to a baby from 6, 7 8, 9, 10,11, 12 and above 1 year. You may ground dates and pour the powder on your baby’s pap, mix together and make it blend with the pap before giving you baby.
DO NOT GIVE DATES TO BABIES LESS THAN 6 MONTHS OF AGE….

You can mix pap with dates and give to your baby.
