Does cipro kill tapeworms?
Welcome to www.nimedhealth.com.ng
It is a frequently asked odd question. Ciprofloxacin is an antibiotic and NOT an anthelminthic , so it cannot kill tapeworms. Ciprofloxacin is only effective in the treatment of bacteria infections like pneumonia, typhoid fever , otitis media , pelvic inflammatory diseases, bladder infections, urinary tract infections etc.
If you have tapeworm infections, all you need is a deworming medicine like Albendazole, mebendazole, etc.not ciprofloxacin.
Ciprofloxacin cannot I’m any way kill tapeworms infestations. However, there are some research out there that posited that ciprofloxacin have the ability to immobilized tapeworm, but not kill it. My question is, what is the use of immobilizing tapeworms instead of killing it?Nothing.
Please take worm medicine to eradicate or get rid of your worm infestations, ciprofloxacin will not help you.
Thank you….
