CLINICAL PHARMACOLOGY
PHARMACODYNAMICS
Trypsin and Chymotrypsin are two different but related digestive enzymes produced and released by the pancreas. Both enzymes function within the intestine to help break down large protein molecules that we ingest in the foods we eat. Without this enzymes-aided digestion, you would be unable to get the essential amino acids required for tissue building and repair. Because these two enzymes break down protein, they are classified as proteases.
PHARMACOKINETICS
The cells in the pancreas synthesis and produce digestive enzymes that break down fats (lipases), starches (amylase), and proteins (proteases). Pancreatic protease can be divided into several families of enzymes that differ in structure and catalytic effect in how they interact with the peptide bonds of proteins. These enzyme types of proteases are serin, threonine, cysteine, aspartic and metallo proteases. Trypsin and Chymotrypsin are two types of proteases in the serin family.
Protease are being used more and more medically and diagnostically in medicine for a multitude of health reasons including the treatment of pancreatic disease and cancer metastases.
Trypsin and Chymotrypsin are originally synthesized in the pancreas in the active form of zymogen precursors (trypsinogen and chymotrysinogen) for the purpose of stopping unnecessary cellular activity and controlling when and where enzyme activity occurs.
INDICATIONS AND USAGE OF CHYMORAL
Indications
People take chymoral Forte (Chymotrypsin) orally or as a shot to reduce redness and swelling associated with pocket of infection (abscesses), ulcer, surgery or traumatic injuries and to help loosen phlegm in asthma bronchitis lung disease, and sinus infection.
Usage:
Cataract surgery, when used by a healthcare professional.
Burns. These is some evidence that chymoral might decrease tissue distraction in burn patients.
Hand Fractures. Taking chymoral by mouth seems to be effective for reducing redness and swelling associated with hand fractures.
CONTRAINDICTIONS OF CHYMORAL FORTE TABLETS
Hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients.
INTERACTIONS
Tell your doctor or pharmacist before use if you are taking any regular medication on prescription or over the counter products. Rarely, Chymotrypsin might cause an allergic reaction when taken by mouth. Symptoms include itching, shortness of breath, swelling of the lips or throat, shock, loss of consciousness, and death.
SPECIAL PRECAUTIONS & WARNINGS
Glaucoma, as a complication of use of chymotrypsin in cataract extractions pt, has occurred usually with 2-5 days after operation. There have been practically no indications of longer persisting glaucoma, from use of the enzyme.
Taking Chymoral during pregnancy and breastfeeding
Pregnancy and breast-feeding: Not enough evidence is known about the use of chymoral during early pregnancy and breast-feeding. Stay on the safe side and avoid use please .
TOXICOLOGICAL DATA
They split secondary amide or peptide bonds, carboxylic or phenolic ester bonds & even carbon-carbon bonds. Their main function is to hydrolyze peptide bonds during the intestinal digestion of proteins.
DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION OF CHYMORAL FORTE
As directed by the physician. Take two tablets of chymoral two or three times daily for 5 days or one week.
