Everyone who attended AMVCA have been exposed to coronavirus – Lagos State Govt
Lagos State Government have raised alarm that all participants (actors and actresses inclusive) that were at the African Magic Viewers’ Choice Award (AMVCA) held on March 14 may have come in contact with one Lagos confirmed Coronavirus case and therefore urged all participants to self-isolate and report to the nearest health facility if they suspect any symptoms .
Professor Akin Abayomi, Commissioner for Health, made the revelation Tuesday afternoon.
“COVID-19 Lagos Alert! I hereby notify you that all participants at the African Magic viewers’ Choice Award (AMVCA) held on 14th March at Eko Hotels may have come in contact with one of the confirmed cases in Lagos and are most likely to have been exposed to COVID-19 Infection”, he tweeted.
He advised all attendees to observe strict self-isolation.
The commissioner advised them to maintain social distancing and to contact the state if they exhibit any coronavirus-related symptoms.
If you attended AMVCA, and you have fever, cough, body pains or sore throat, please come forward.
You may have had contact with one or two attendees who tested positive to #COVID19.
