GOODNEWS: Chinese man quarantined in Lagos for showing Symptoms of coronavirus has tested NEGATIVE – Prof Akin Abayomi.
In a swift response by the Lagos State Government , the earlier reported Chinese man detected at the airport with suspected symptoms of coronavirus has tested negative.
This news was disclosed by the Lagos State commissioner for health, Prof Akin Abayomi , on his verified Twitter handle.
He tweeted:
“Breaking! The Chinese man who arrived Lagos yesterday on Ethiopian Airline with cough has tested negative for Corona Virus.” #COVID19Lagos.
The professor however promised to continue quarantine the man for the stipulated 14 days which is the incubation period of COVID19. .
Recall that the NIGERIAN HEALTH BLOG earlier reported that the Lagos State Government on Tuesday confirmed that a Chinese national who came into Lagos on Monday evening with symptoms suspicious of coronavirus was quarantined.
