On the issue of the meagre hazard allowance which medical doctors and other health workers have continually complained about especially in this era of the coronavirus pandemic, Dr Osagie Ehanire was caught on camera during a meeting with the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila, and other members of the National Assembly saying: “I am not aware if doctors treating COVID-19 patients are being paid hazard allowance and the doctors are just doing their normal everyday jobs of checking temperature and nothing more.” This statement has drawn widespread condemnation from all healthworkers in the country.
