Coronavirus: Lagos state govt bans churches and mosques gathering exceeding 50 persons indefinitely.
Amidst the tensions of rising coronavirus cases in Lagos, Lagos state government has suspended religious gathering of over 50 persons with immediate effect.
This means churches and mosques have been temporarily shut down from holding services for the time being.
Recall that with a reported 4 new confirmed cases of coronavirus in the city’s capital, Lagos now has a total of 7 cases of COVID-19.
Many persons have seen this new action as extremely necessary in the midst of a pandemic and are even calling on the federal government to replicate same across the nation.
Nations across the world especially Italy, Vatican City and Britain have similarly banned religious gathering till further notice.
