Nigerian govt announces 20 new cases of COVID-19, total cases now 131.

The National Centre for Disease Control and Prevention just now made an announcement of 20 fresh confirmed cases of coronavirus taking Nigeria’s total to 131 with 2 deaths and 8 persons discharged so far.

According to a series of tweets the NCDC:

Twenty new cases of COVID -19 have been reported in Nigeria; 13 in Lagos, 4 in FCT, 2 in Kaduna and 1 in Oyo State.

As at 09:00 pm 30th March there are 131 confirmed cases of COVID19 reported in Nigeria with 2 deaths.

In a nationwide broadcast yesterday, the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari, has ordered a total lock down of Lagos, Ogun, and FCT for a period of 14 days so as to curb further spread.

The fight against coronavirus is a joint task and we all need to play our part.
